Continuing on different themes, this time the MYC Trio is having fun with a Latin Jazz night. Get on the dance floor or just sit back and tap your feet to Victoria’s eclectic Trio. While you’re at it, enjoy some good food and drink at Hermann’s. MYC Trio has Robert Mari on piano with his beautiful restrained touch accentuating his innovative jazz improvisations, James Young on bass adding a counterpoint of smooth sounds and Gerry Charlebois delicately sounding percussion with his magic touch--it will be an fun time!

Robert Mari has been playing the piano since he was 3yrs old. He has his masters of music from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, and has 4 CD’s and is currently working on 2 more for this year.

Virtuoso bassist James Young has been playing and recording with some of the top talents in North America. He is as comfortable in Jazz as he is in Classical and Roots. James brings to the trio his knowledge of all styles of music played with a humorous touch.

Gerry Charlebois has studied with Dido and the Hand People in Vancouver and Victoria. He has performed on Taiko Drums with the Sagae Taiko Group in Japan for two years. His musical experience includes group playing with such ensembles as Macumba, Brazil, Sabor Latino, Miranda Sage, the Colin Godbout Duo and Trio, and the Diane Pancel Quartet.
